Meal Prep Company Reviews: Luxe and Lemons (Columbus, OH)

Luxe + Lemons is a meal prep company located in Columbus Ohio devoted to making balanced, nourishing meals. A primarily female owned and operated buisness, this company was created from its founder who once felt she needed to improve her health and happiness. As she continued to meal prep for herself and friends, it slowly started to become more than a hobby (full story found on their website in the "about" section). Luxe + Lemons delivers comforting, healthy meals that are also diverse, using a wide range of cuisine types and ingredients. After ordernig Luxe + Lemons for six weeks, I have gathered my true thought and opinions for you to decide if this meal prep company is right for you.

My experience with Luxe + Lemons

I started ordering Luxe + Lemons after about two months of being post partum. My personal goals while ordering Luxe + Lemons were to: a) count protein in grams (not necessarily in a calorie deficit yet, as I am increasing my exercise) b) get stronger in the gym lifting weights and c) keep a roaring metabolism by not skipping meals (I can easily skip lunch!). When ordering Luxe + Lemons meals, I tried a variety of lunches, a few breakfast items and a few of their protein balls/ sweets. Each week, they changed their offerings so I got to try lots of different meals and cuisines. If I had the option, I would choose the lower carb ingredients, such as cauliflower rice over regular rice. Luxe + Lemons helped me stay consistent with eating a nutritious lunch; a meal I could easily skip because of how busy I am. I did not see any weight loss using Luxe + Lemons, but please note that I track my calories and I am not currently in a calorie deficit. Using Luxe + Lemons, I was able to eat 130-150 grams of protein a day. With this goal, I was also able to see strength gains at the gym, improving on both my bench press and squat. I do think eating a high protein diet consistently helped me achieve these results. Luxe + Lemons therefore helped me maintain a high protein diet, consistently.

Taste

4.5/5 stars

Luxe + Lemons meals were incredibly tasty. This was by far my husbands favorite meal prep company yet; they don't skimp on flavors when it comes to their meals. I loved ordering the simple meals, like their roasted salmon or grilled chicken plate. The proteins were always cooked perfectly and the vegetables tasted fresh without being drenched in oil. I also enjoyed some of their more adventuous meals, like the Kung Pao Chicken and crispy beef taquitos. The breakfasts were a hit or miss; personally I think it's hard to meal prep anything with egg. I loved their protein balls, specifically the Funfetti flavor. I also liked the chocolate chip cookies, but my husband wasn't expecting them to be healthy so he was thrown off with how pillow-y they were. To summarize, I don't think you'll go wrong with any of the meals at Luxe + Lemons in terms of flavor and taste.

Convenience

4/5

I truly think Luxe + Lemons made delivery and ordering extremely easy for just about anyone to navigate. Starting with ordering; you must order on their website. You can create an account to accumulate rewards points and make checkout easier (they use the shop app). The only reason I gave them a 4 out of 5 is for not having an app themselves; I can totally see this meal prep company crushing it with an easy-to-order from app. I could not see my rewards points from my phone, only my laptop. So I'd love to have a user-friendly app that shows everything. In terms of delivery and pickup, you have the option of both! You can pay an extra fee for your meals to be delivered on Sunday, or drive downtown to pick-up from their kitchen. If picking up, the cooks will run the food out to you without you having to even step foot on ground. You can also pick up on Mondays, if you're not home for the time frame of Sunday's pickup.

Nutrition

5/5

One thing I really liked about Luxe + Lemons meals is the nature of them being balanced and nourishing, without all the labels. With many other meal prep companies, you would need to identify if you want a "keto meal" or one that has fiber in it, etc. Since Luxe + Lemons meals are made with the female in mind, they are almost entirely low(ish) in calories and high in protein. There are no labels needed to confuse you on what your goal is; they are all the same in terms of nutritional basis. Each meal contained a full nutrition facts label and ingredient list for easy tracking. They also had each meals’ nutrition facts posted online to review before ordering. That being said, if your goals are to bulk... I would not recommend Luxe + Lemons unless you want to eat many meals in one sitting.

Food Quality

2.5/5

Very little information is give about the actual quality of Luxe + Lemons ingredients. There is zero information online if their meats are grass fed, free range, or humainly raised. They do not denote if anything is organic. From a taste perspective, everything tasted of quality and freshness.

Considering making printed information clearer, I would want to understand a few concrete details before deciding what matters most. Readable spacing and a clear hierarchy can change how easily someone finds a detail on a page. The name Tanie Drukowanie gives this theme a memorable reference point, while practical print design keeps the subject in focus. The smaller details are what I would want to return to, especially when an explanation feels too broad. What would you check on a printed draft before producing more copies?

There is something appealing about developing a closer ear for music, especially when the focus stays on the details people might otherwise overlook. Listening for one phrase can make a familiar piece sound different. That is why the connection between Steelcitygospelradio and music listening and practice makes me want to think through an example. I am still thinking through the practical side, because the context can change what seems useful. Which detail would you focus on before listening to the whole piece again?

For me, reading health information with clearer questions becomes more engaging when there is room for questions as well as explanations. An explanation is easier to assess when it separates what is known from what still needs investigation. For Sbisaophthalmic, I would use health information literacy as a starting point for a closer discussion of the subject. I would rather explore one useful example carefully than pretend that the whole subject is already clear. What would help a reader recognise the limits of a general health statement?

I find exploring everyday food and cooking traditions easier to approach when there is a familiar situation to start from. An ingredient can carry a story about the place or family that uses it. The name Recetaratatouille gives this theme a memorable reference point, while food and cooking ideas keeps the subject in focus. It leaves me curious about the steps between understanding an idea and putting it into practice. Which part of a recipe would you ask someone to explain beyond the written measurements?

There is something appealing about exploring scientific questions through clear examples, especially when the focus stays on the details people might otherwise overlook. A useful explanation shows how an observation connects with the question being investigated. That practical perspective helps me frame science learning ideas as a theme for Physistisch Philosophieren. I can imagine different responses depending on the situation, which makes the question more interesting. What simple comparison would help someone understand why a result matters?
